Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum
The Role:
As an Audit & Account Senior, you will work closely with our team to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of technical audit and accountancy services. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing assignments with support from the team as needed.
- Completing assignments for managers and supervisors to the required standard.
- Delegating tasks to new trainees and providing ongoing feedback.
- Acting as a role model for new trainees.
- Meeting the requirements of the Continuing Professional Development Programme.
- Submitting timesheets within set deadlines.
- Maintaining client relationships and ensuring confidentiality.
- Staying updated on technical knowledge.
- Supporting a diverse client portfolio.
- Leading audits from planning through to completion.
- Hosting pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients.
- Assisting in the management of a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
- Mentoring colleagues by reviewing their work and promoting high-quality service.
- Developing the team’s skill set through training and support.
- Contributing to the firm’s growth by retaining and building client relationships.
- Preparing and submitting statutory accounts (FRS 102, Groups, Limited Companies, and LLP Accounts).
- Preparing and submitting corporation tax returns.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in IT, including Excel and accounting software packages (CCH Accounts Production, CCH Audit Automation), Outlook, and CCH Practice Management.
- Commitment to undertaking CPD in line with Institute and Rouse Partners requirements, maintaining an up-to-date CPD record.
- Proven experience in practice within Audit & Accounts.
- Part-qualified status depending on experience level.
- A minimum of 3 years of accountancy practice experience in Audit & Accounts.
