Job Description

Location: Arklow, Ireland
Salary: €50,000 per annum

The Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Audit Senior to join our team in Arklow. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and executing audit assignments for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will work closely with clients to ensure compliance with accounting standards and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and finalize audit assignments in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead audit teams and supervise junior staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to clients, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their queries and providing strategic advice to enhance their financial processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to ensure compliance and improve audit quality.
  • Review financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Assist in the development of audit strategies and methodologies to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of audit processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support client needs and foster a cohesive working environment.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • A recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in audit, preferably within an accountancy practice.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting, and compliance regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing audits and leading teams effectively.

Skills and Competencies Required:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
