Position: Nursery Practitioner
Location: Finchley (Term Time Only)
Salary: £18,000 – £21,000 per annum

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team in Finchley. This term-time position is ideal for individuals who are committed to providing high-quality care and education for young children. Key Responsibilities

  • Childcare: Provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Activity Planning: Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Observation and Assessment: Observe and assess children’s progress, documenting their development and adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and nursery policies at all times.
  • Parent Communication: Establish and maintain positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and well-being.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery and the delivery of high-quality early years education.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education (CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
  • Experience: Prior experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of EYFS: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
  • Passion for Early Years Education: A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to promoting their learning and development.
