Job Overview
An exciting opportunity is available for a RIBA Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our team in Croydon. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual who is enthusiastic about contributing to innovative projects while advancing their career in architecture. This role provides hands-on experience with design development, client engagement, and project management, under the guidance of experienced architects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Development: Assist in the design and development of architectural projects, preparing detailed drawings and plans.
- Project Coordination: Support project teams in delivering high-quality work, ensuring projects are aligned with client expectations and deadlines.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare architectural drawings, models, and documents for presentations and client meetings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with team members, consultants, and contractors to bring projects to completion on schedule and within budget.
- Research and Compliance: Conduct research on materials, construction techniques, and local planning guidelines, ensuring designs meet relevant codes and regulations.
- Client Interaction: Attend client meetings to discuss project progress, obtain feedback, and make adjustments to designs as required.
Requirements
- Qualifications: RIBA Part 2 qualified, with a degree in Architecture.
- Software Proficiency: Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with 3D modeling and rendering software is a plus.
- Design Skills: Strong design and visual presentation abilities, with excellent attention to detail.
- Project Experience: Prior experience working on architectural projects, either through internships or previous employment.
- Communication: Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas to team members and clients.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment, taking direction and adapting to project needs.
