Position: Senior Accountant
Reports To: Assistant Manager/Manager/Partner
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum

This role provides high-quality, efficient accounting services to clients, aligning with the firm’s objectives. Responsibilities include preparing complex accounts, supervising team members, and ensuring compliance with the firm’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Preparation: Prepare and review complex accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Client Engagement Planning: Lead job planning for client engagements, setting clear objectives and timelines.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee the work of junior team members, offering guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Cross-Selling: Identify cross-selling opportunities and inform partners for potential service expansion.
  • Billing: Oversee and manage client billing.
  • Client Relations: Serve as a primary client contact, addressing queries and ensuring satisfaction.
  • Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to junior staff, supporting their career development.

Skills and Requirements

  • Financial Insight: Strong understanding of financial performance drivers for clients and the firm.
  • Technical Expertise: Maintain a high level of technical knowledge and provide support to junior team members.
  • Performance Management: Deep understanding of business performance issues and their impact on clients.
  • Budget Management: Deliver accurate work within allocated budgets; set and monitor budgets for junior staff.
  • Reporting: Report directly to partners on project progress and key client issues.
