Senior Tax Manager / Associate Tax Director
Salary: £85,000 – £105,000 per annum
Location: Central London (Top 100 Practice)
Hybrid Working: Three days in the office

About You:
You are CTA/ACA/ACCA qualified.
– You possess significant advisory experience, essential for leading key projects.
– You are currently a senior manager or manager seeking a step up with opportunities for further advancement.

The Role:
We are looking for a Senior Tax Manager to join our established tax team and partner group. This role involves managing a growing advisory portfolio and overseeing complex corporate tax returns, with a workload split of 60% advisory and 40% compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
– Client Portfolio: Manage relationships with family-owned businesses, large groups, and multinational companies with turnovers up to £1bn.
– Tax Compliance: Oversee complex company tax returns and review submissions prepared by junior team members.
– Tax Advisory:
– Provide expertise on share schemes (EMI, CSOP, growth shares, etc.).
– Advise on international structuring.
– Support corporate reconstructions (demergers, MBOs).
– Offer guidance on SEIS/EIS matters.
– Manage R&D tax relief claims.
– Conduct tax due diligence and manage enquiry work.
– Collaboration: Work closely with partners and liaise with other teams to achieve optimal results.
– Mentoring: Coach and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills.
– Technical Research: Develop solutions for complex tax issues.
– Business Development: Promote the tax team both internally and externally by writing articles and attending networking events.
– Opportunity Identification: Identify tax planning opportunities within the existing client base.
