The Opportunity
As a Corporate Tax Senior Manager, you will take a senior leadership role within the firm’s expanding tax practice, overseeing complex corporate tax work for a diverse portfolio of clients. You’ll deliver expert technical advice, manage client relationships, mentor junior staff, and play a key part in shaping the strategic growth of the corporate tax offering.

Key Responsibilities
Client Management & Delivery
- Lead and oversee all aspects of corporate tax assignments for a varied client base.
- Manage and strengthen client relationships, acting as a trusted tax adviser.
- Plan, execute, and review work to meet deadlines and budget targets.
- Provide proactive, value-adding insights and solutions to clients.
Technical Expertise & Advisory
- Conduct detailed research into complex corporate tax matters.
- Deliver practical and strategic tax planning advice.
- Review and sign off complex corporate tax computations and returns.
- Ensure all work and advice are compliant, accurate, and risk-aware.
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach and mentor junior members of the tax team, offering ongoing feedback and guidance.
- Lead internal training to strengthen technical expertise across the department.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.
Innovation & Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline and modernise tax compliance processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practice frameworks.
Business Development & Networking
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and professional networks.
- Support the identification and development of new business opportunities.
- Represent the firm at industry and networking events.
Risk Management & Compliance
- Ensure full compliance with UK tax legislation, professional standards, and firm policies.
- Identify potential risks and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Experience & Skills Required
- Qualifications: CTA Qualified.
- Experience: 8+ years in corporate tax, ideally within a practice environment.
- Technical Expertise: Strong command of UK corporate tax compliance and advisory.
- Leadership: Proven experience managing teams and reviewing complex work.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication with a client-centric approach.
- Software: Proficient in Alphatax or similar software; advanced Excel and Word skills.
- Commercial Awareness: Strong business acumen and a proactive mindset toward growth.
