ROLE OVERVIEW
A welcoming and well-established nursery based in Silvertown is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join their team on an all-year-round basis. The setting offers a nurturing, inclusive environment focused on supporting the early development of children aged 0–5 years. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about early years education who wants to grow in a supportive, child-centred setting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
- Observe, assess, and record children’s development and progress, sharing updates with parents and carers
- Support children’s personal, social, emotional, and physical development
- Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, accident forms, and attendance
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of care and education
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote the welfare of all children
- Ensure the nursery environment is clean, safe, and well-organised at all times
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
REQUIREMENTS
- CACHE Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a nursery or early years setting
- Must be based in or within a commutable distance to Tottenham
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
SALARY & LOCATION
- E16, London
- Salary £25,000 – £32,000 per annum
- Onsite based
