A growing boutique accountancy practice in Manchester (M14) is seeking an experienced Private Client Tax Senior or Manager to join its expanding team.
This is a full-time, office-based opportunity offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of high-value clients — including high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), non-domiciled clients, trusts, partnerships, and estates. The firm prides itself on delivering tailored, high-quality tax advice in a supportive and collaborative environment.
The Role
You’ll work within a skilled and close-knit private client tax team, delivering a blend of advisory (60%) and compliance (40%) services. The position offers a varied and rewarding workload, encompassing complex advisory projects and ongoing client relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of private clients including HNWIs, non-doms, trusts, and partnerships.
- Deliver bespoke Inheritance Tax (IHT) and property tax planning solutions.
- Advise on trusts, offshore structures, and HMRC disclosures.
- Handle advisory projects such as IHT mitigation, pre-arrival planning, and capital gains tax.
- Review and manage personal and trust tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaise directly with clients, attending meetings and providing clear, proactive tax advice.
- Support the resolution of HMRC enquiries and disclosure cases.
What We’re Looking For
- CTA, ATT, or TEP qualified (or equivalent private client tax experience).
- Strong background in both advisory and compliance work.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex client portfolios independently.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and relationship management skills.
- A proactive, client-focused approach with attention to detail and discretion.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 (experience dependent).
